Football Fans...This is the Big Event!

Football fans, you will not want to miss this! If you are a fan, sort of a fan or just like fun things to do--take part in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement festivities.

Activities are under way and continue through Aug. 6. For two fun filled weeks the Canton./Stark County area of Ohio will be loaded with fun events. Whether you live close by or travel for miles to attend you will not be disappointed!

The actual enshrinement of the football greats will be held on Aug. 5. This year's enshrinement of football stars includes, Jack Butler, Dermontti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Curtis Martin, and Willie Roaf.

The balloon festival was held on July 20 and visitors could not believe the sight of 58 hot air balloons. Including a pig, ladybug, clown and much more.

The balloons were piloted by pilots from 14 different states and include 36 from Ohio.

The night was filled with festivities and plenty of food.

If you missed it ...there are plenty more activities you can attend.

You might even have a chance to see the six football stars enshrined. On Facebook "like" the Canton Stark Convention and Visitors Bureau and enter to win .  Each ticket package includes a pair of tickets to the Enshrinement Ceremony and the Enshrinement Celebration Fan Party on Saturday, August 4. At the fan party you’ll enjoy all inclusive food and beer as a DJ plays all of today’s hits, and the chance to get an autograph from a current Hall of Famer.

A great opportunity to get in the spirit of the Hall of Fame is the concert and fireworks to be held July 28 downtown Canton at Cornerstone Square located at Tuscarawas Street and Walnut Avenue beginning at 6p.m. There will be plenty of music and family fun things to do.

On July 29 it is ready, set, go as the 2 mile and 5 mile races begin. Registration is open online at . There is a free fun kids run and plenty of running opportunities for the kids at heart. Prizes will be awarded. Your registration includes tickets to the Football Hall of Fame.

At 2:30 p.m. on July 29 you can race downtown to catch the Community Parade. There will be more than 125 units in the parade that include youth groups, marching bands, antique vehicles and much more. It begins on Market Avenue at 11 Street North and travels south through the heart of downtown.

Watch for more information on the festivities! It is a great time for the entire family. There is something at the Football Hall of Fame for everyone.
